Christine’s musical formation started at age 5 with classical piano, earning a Grade 9 certificate from the Royal Conservatory of Music in 2011. As of 2010, she taught herself how to play guitar, picking up tricks from musically inclined family members. After completing a degree in classical voice in June 2016, Christine discovered songwriting as a more personal means of self-expression through music. She has been performing her own material ever since and in September 2017, she released her debut EP Satellite Moons, recorded, mixed and produced by Dean Watson at Gallery Recording Studio. By pairing unique song craft and storytelling, she aims to translate biographical events into modern idioms, drawing on elements of folk, rock and jazz. Her sources of inspiration include Joni Mitchell, Janis Joplin, Brandi Carlile, and the Staves.
