An evening with Alex Wong and Megan Slankard: Two singer-songwriters on one stage, sharing intimate songs and stories enhanced by compelling instrumental arrangements.
Alex Wong, is a Latin GRAMMY nominated producer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer-songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. His intimate performances will leave audiences holding their breath as they hang onto every word he sings. Alex will be performing music from his new and upcoming solo album.
Megan Slankard, an energetic and quirky singer-songwriter and story-teller from San Francisco, California, charms audiences of all ages with clever songs and her dynamic voice. Her melodies will have people singing along, and her stories as an indie-artist will leave her audiences laughing and engaged.
Opening the evening is Jessica Pearson and the East Wind:
Jessica Pearson is a Canadian born storyteller with a voice like melting honey on a summers eve. Accompanied by the melodic bowing of Pat Bigelow on the Stand Up Bass and the sweet fiddling of Maddy O’Regan, they bring to life tales of the past and express the beauty and heartbreak of the world today. From a cappella tunes sung in the middle of the audience to recollections of the bands dietary restrictions, Jessica Pearson and the East Wind will take you on a journey with their dynamic live shows and entertaining story telling.
