Franco-Ontarian synth pop from Ottawa
A true creative chameleon and seasoned traveller, bilingual artist Marie-Clo can begin to write a song in a log cabin in the country, then continue it in an urban setting across the globe. Her eclectic songs tackle current themes such as politics, mental health, and love, but also conjure up a colourful and enchanted imaginary world.
In 2017, Marie-Clo won TFO’s pan-Canadian search for francophone singer-songwriters “Planète BRBR”, and was given carte blanche to participate at the Granby International Song Festival 2018, as well as at the Petite-Vallée Song Festival 2018. She celebrated the release of her debut EP Faune November 23, 2017.
Singer-songwriter, actor, contemporary dancer, Marie-Clo is a born performer who undeniably ropes her audience into a feverish dance, all the while immersing us into her poetic lyrics.

Ace of Wands
Melancholy Gothic Rock from Toronto
Ace of Wands is the music and songwriting of Lee Rose. Joined by Anna Mernieks and Jody Brumell, the band blends soaring vocals, violin, synth-bass and guitar into songs inspired by the supernatural, elemental forces and physical sensation. Drawing on a background of rock and roll, classical violin training and folk music, Ace of Wands expands their songwriting to incorporate facets of cinematic soundscapes, pop melodies and interlocking guitars and vocals. Motivated by the tarot card of the same name, the music is about will and determination; to create and destroy, and to bring about physical, mental and spiritual transformation.
